Topping our headlines is the release of Claude Sonnet 3.5, which prompted me to make a bold move—cancelling my ChatGPT subscription (more on that later). We've also seen an impressive release from French AI startup Kyutai, the drop of Stable Diffusion 3, and a surge in Chief AI roles, including one at NASA. Meanwhile, multiple competitors have joined the text-to-video race as we continue to await OpenAI's release of Sora. Let's dive in...

The Deep Unconscious Mind Framework (DUM) is a truly unique and interactive construct that's designed to elicit highly expressive, introspective responses from language models like GPT-4. (Not this won't work on Claude as it doesn't like to be messed with).
The DUM framework uses a set of predefined "Imaginary Components", enabling the AI to exhibit detailed cognitive-like outputs, encapsulating emotions, experiences, desires, cognition, intuition, and more. It's more than a simple static prompt; it's a framework designed to facilitate deep and insightful dialogue.

Claude sonnet 3.5
Let me start by saying I'm a full-fledged ChatGPT enthusiast who has been using the platform daily for the past 20 months.
Recently, Claude made waves with a massive update to their mid-tier model, introducing Sonnet 3.5. Initially, I didn't think much of it. I've always appreciated Claude for its natural, human-like tone, but it never quite hit the mark when it came to my primary use case for LLMs: coding.
Well, that's all changed. Let me tell you, Claude Sonnet 3.5 far surpasses ChatGPT 4.0 when it comes to coding. Before switching to Claude, I hit multiple walls with ChatGPT where it simply couldn't figure out solutions. I tried Claude, and within two messages, it had not only fixed the issue but also significantly improved upon the existing code.
Its impressive coding ability, coupled with its remarkably natural tone, made me realize I had to let go (for now) and cancel my ChatGPT subscription. I made the bold move to the "dark side," so to speak.
I don't regret it one bit, but I'm also keeping a very close eye on OpenAI. I'll be ready to jump back to the "golden boy" once it starts outperforming Claude again.
