Welcome back Indexers! Something strange and exciting has happened. Out of what appears to be nowhere, a mystery model, named GPT2 has appeared on Chatbot Arena (a well known AI testing ground). I'll cover everything we know below including a quick tutorial on how you can try it for yourself before it disappears again!

Mystery model
A buzz has been swirling around Chatbot Arena (LMSYS) with the sudden appearance of a new model called GPT2. Many of the lucky souls who managed to try it out were claiming it matches, and sometimes surpasses, the power of GPT-4.
It's all very mysterious because there were no developer notes, there were not claims of anyone owning it, nothing! The origin of GPT2 still remains a mystery.
The gpt2-chatbot was swiftly taken offline due to "unexpectedly high traffic & capacity limits," according to LMSYS.
The good news? It's back! Here's how you can try it...
1. Visit chat.lmsys.org and select Arena mode.
2. If on mobile scroll down where you can enter a prompt. Make it a brief prompt as you may have to do this a few times.
3. Rate the response (which one was better) as there will be two outputs to your prompt. The model's name then appears at the bottom.
4. Refresh and retry until you see 'im-a-good-gpt2-chatbot' or 'im-also-a-good-gpt2-chatbot'.
I got it on my second try!
